Portable Edition only available with Donation version in 8.7

Have probably been spoiled by free software and not having to compile programs manually from scratch. That being said am very disappointed that the portable edition is only available in the donation version starting with 8.7.

There is always the PortableApps version but it just adds another layer and is an older version. For anyone who was using FreeFileSync on network drives I guess we will need to make a choice among the following:
-Keep using the version 8.6
-Use PortableApps version (PortableApps version still at 6.2)
-Pay
