FreeFileSync freezes at start, since last few release.
Windows says: Not responding.
What can I do to fix it?

I know this thread is a little old but when I had a similar issue. I found this thread which described my issue but gave no potential resolution. I found that if the computer could not get to the internet the auto check for update caused the program to freeze for several seconds (~30?) while trying. Unchecking the box to auto check for updates fixed the issue for me.
