Re: Best Practice Recommendation - FFS / Linux / exFAT external drive - EINVAL: Invalid argument [open]

(If FFS "translated" a character, physically, on the target end, there is still the issue that the source name is not changed, so the next Compare will still find the same file. If FFS had an option to "treat as equal", so ".$" (ending dot) is truncated (to "$"...

Suffice to say (not that doing so will do much good, at this point) but some "resource" has been used up, that is affecting program operation. (Now just what, that's a different matter ;-).) About how many files in total are we talking about? Aside from GDI "resources", there is ...

Does changing the ADS change the file date/time ? What type of scan are you using? If Content & there is no file content change, then no ADS changes will not be detected. If Time/Size, & if it changes, then it looks like yes the file will be re-copied, along with the update ADS. (FFS is not ...

So you can run .ffs_batch directly, & that works.

But when you use RTS, the .ffs_batch fails with a Permissions denied.

What version of FFS?
Any change if you test with the older 12.4?

Re: "include symbolic links" not working - What I'm doing wrong?

If you had "hard" links, that works. Do note that a "hard" link *IS* the very same, *IS*, the file it is linked to. (So anything you do to either end affects "both" [as they are the very same file].) Problem with hard links, is that Windows gives you very little "g...
