This isn't an FFS issue it's a permissions issue. Be sure that the user you are running as in task scheduler has permissions. Search this forum I know I've seen this issue posted before.

If the feature isn't available on this or any other sync software, there must be a good reason.

Try V5.11. I think it resolves that issue.

I'll go out on a ledge here and say, no. This is a FILE sync program not a time/date sync program.

Check your network permissions.

That's the idea of RTS. as soon as it sees a change it runs, hence real time.

In FFS on Program menu, "save as batch job" then in the next dialog click on the "Batch settings" tab.

FFS is behaving exactly as it should. If it can't write to GlobalSettings.xml how would you be able to use the application at all? Is it just me but if you're looking to compare 2 folders yet copy the files to a 3rd location you aren't looking to do a sync. And this is what FFS does a sync of 2 folder pairs.

I would say no. The object of FFS is to compare and sync a folder pair.

You can't use FFS to duplicate a system disk.

I run a monthly image of the system disk to a foldet in an external HD and run a daily FFS of personal files to another folder on the same HD. Yes but if you have a large number of configs to convert it can be time
consuming. Some kind of batch convert would be nice. Is there a way?

Now in 4.6 when I go to save a configuration in the gui and save it a s a file
name that already exists it doesn't prompt to overwrite, it just does it. Is
this by design or is it broke?

Is there an updated converter program to convert 4.5 scripts to 4.6? I know is
a small change but I have many FFS scripts to convert and a converter would be
easier than through the interface. I know there was on back in 3.17.

Any ETA on 3.18?
