Test. Create a directory named, TEST, copy that .cfm file & some others where the hidden attribute was set (on the SFTP end), & do an Update sync to a new directory (also called, TEST should work) on the SFTP sever. Query the SFTP end. Do the files show up with the hidden attribute set? And ...

As the (shown) files are tiny, & if that holds for the entire compare (all files being relatively small), why not change to a Content compare (which on small files should still be speedy).

I would think it not to be expected that a file backup program would back up an entire OS, & in particular the OS system files themselves, & certainly not in any bootable fashion (such that you can restore to some saved OS state), if that is your intention.
